Thinkit
Many young adults struggle with mental health issues, but most of them still avoid seeking professional help. This is because of major barriers like stigma around mental health and support options.

This is why I created Thinkit; an app with the goal of reducing these barriers by reframing them in a more positive and accessible way.
The product focuses on improving emotional literacy and making the help-seeking process feel more approachable and better aligned with the main target group.
Objectives
Develop a deep understanding of the problem through research, create a concept for the product through brainstorming and co-creating. Ultimately creating the branding and high-fi prototype of the Thinkit app.

Deliverables
Research, concept, branding and app prototype
Most young people find talking about their mental health intimidating, so Thinkit was designed to feel approachable, safe, and familiar: a space that encourages them to open up without feeling overwhelmed. The visual identity combines rich, vibrant colours with softer, muted tones, creating a youthful energy while maintaining a sense of calm. A dark base colour anchors the system, complemented by neutral backgrounds and soft emotional accents that reflect the different feelings and themes within the app.
Instead of focusing only on getting help when mental struggles have greatly escalated, Thinkit gives young people a safe and approachable space to learn about themselves, understand mental health, and build their own self-help toolkit with resources and tools they can return to whenever they need them. This preventive approach supports young people through the challenging transition to adulthood while helping break the taboos and barriers around mental health struggles and reaching out for help.
The experience is designed to feel calm and approachable, with simple interactions, manageable choices, and light customisation that gives users a sense of ownership without adding complexity.
The app’s concept and features were shaped by expert input and feedback from the target audience, and informed by psychological frameworks including Positive Psychology and Resilience Theory.
